Lituya Bay Adventures
For the truly adventurous we offer Lituya Bay trips to view the scarred hillside remnants of the 1800 foot surge wave that occurred in 1958 and is the focus of the book Land of the Ocean Mists By Francis Caldwell. Lituya Bay, discovered by French naval captain and explorer, Francois de Galaup comte de La Perouse who said at the time of discovery “is one of the truly most spectacular places he has ever visited”.
